Scene 1
Miss A : Hey dude, whom did you vote for?
Mr. B : Me and voting, you must be kidding!
Miss A : Why, what’s the big deal in voting?
Mr. B : All these politicians are the same, corrupt and rotten!
Miss A : You should have voted ya, it makes a lot of difference!
Mr. B : Whatever!
Scene 2
Mr. C : Hey babes, did you cast your vote?
Miss A : Ya, I did! My first vote for my country!
Mr. C : That’s great, whom did you vote for?
Miss A : I voted for the c*n#*#*s..
Mr. C : Why?
Miss A : Why?! That guy is so cute! He looks so good in those specs of his and his dimples! Wow! I just love him!!
Scene 3
Mr. C Jr. : Hey dad, whom did you vote for?
Mr. C Sr. : Son, one should not disclose whom you are voting for, that’s why its called a secret ballot!
Mr. C Jr. : Common dad, I’m your son, you can tell me.
Mr. C Sr. : Ok! I voted for the B*#.
Mr. C Jr. : Hahahaha! The one with all those oldies?! We need young leaders dad, what can these guys do? They can’t even stand on their own feet properly!
Mr. C Sr. : Experience matters son, this is politics, not your cricket and football where the old guys are kicked out!
Mr. C Jr. : Whatever! I voted for the M#*.
Mr. C Sr. : Oh! So you voted for those gundas! And I presume that my ‘intelligent’ and ‘young’ son must have had a valid reason for doing that?
Mr. C Jr. : Errr…a very good reason dad. You know my friends, they are so into politics! They understand these things. They all voted for M#*, and so did I!
Someone doesn’t give a damn about voting,
Someone is voting for all the wrong reasons,
And someone doesn’t even know why he’s voting!!
Ye hai youngistaan meri jaan!!!

GR8 Wrk!!! Mr. Silent.. each tym wid a new1.. competing urself..
u r such an inspiration..
nvr let ur pen down..:))
it is da reality on the ground..sad but true...
but at the same time sum of us really wana vote n r nt quite comfortable wid da idea of choosing da least wrst... fr instance, i went to the polling booth thrice n yet cudnt convince my conscience 2 vote fr da party i support just coz their candidate ws really bd..
it wud b so much b8r if v hd da opportunity of choosin da best n nt da least wrst...
I agree, but atleast we should play our part in selecting the least worst..something is BETTER than nothing, isn't it?
somethin is betta than nothin i agree...but wat use is the something wen its taking our country to nothin? [that doesnt mean i m proscribin voting altogether!] its jus dat we gotta accept the fact that we re beggars[ coz we arent choosers] evry 5 yrs we gotta scavenge the best out of the worst..sad but true!!
but this argument takes us directly to scene 1 of this post...yes there shud b a case where we should be selecting d best and not d least worst..but if for that reason, we don't vote, then indirectly we ourselves are selecting the Worst!...and more so incase of loksabha elections..we have to look at the larger picture, our focus shud b on voting for the party and not the candidate..as far as the candidate is concerned, we can think over it in the assembly elections..
This year I was one of them.
true picture portrayed by three very simple scenes!
