Returning from the funeral, she got into the house and directly went into the shower. Suddenly, she heard music playing in the drawing room. She ran out, covering herself with a towel. The image in front of her made her faint.

I liked it but that picture gave lot of clues...you shouldn't have kept it in the first place cuz the title makes people go gaga for guessing it.
Hope you got my point and yeah...don't use pictures from next time taking that into consideration.
Don't you know that pictures are worth thousand words? how come this be a 55F then? :P

And Mahesh is right. I too guessed it because of the title.
And one more thing. Widower?? Was it a wrong usage of the word by mistake or is it that the wife had died some time ago and now the widower died too?

Nice ending...I'm a fan of stories like these. They form the base for some kickass detective stories.

I liked your story very much as it is quite different and like a ghost story.
Good one but The End still remains my undisputed favorite.
Even I agree to what many said, the suspense would have been more intense sans the picture.
I supposed she will die and who was the widower? She was still alive, right?

Umesh, its not that all pictures mar the effect. If you ask me I simply loved the picture you put for your other 55 Fiction The End. It enhanced the impact of the fiction. Between you have a fantastic choice of pics.Just it didn't work for this one.
Keep on coming up with more scary ghost stuff, I simply love it. kind of obsessed with spirits.
